A contractor can pay it all as wages, or pay part as contributions to bona fide benefit plans for the worker, as long as the two add up to at least $83.97. When does this rate change?
- On a bid contract, the rates in effect when bids are opened apply for the contract, or 36 months, whichever is earlier (NRS 338.030(9)–(10)). An amendment applies to projects bid after it takes effect (NAC 338.050).
- The Commissioner issues rates every October 1 for public works bid or awarded October 1 through September 30, and issues amendments when union rates change before then; an amendment takes effect on the date given, or 10 days after issue (NAC 338.040).

- * *If Project is further than (45) miles, Employer agrees to furnish acceptable single occupancy lodging to each employee. Employers are encouraged to use commercial facilities and lodges, however, when such facilities are not available, per diem in lieu of room and lodging shall be paid at the rate of $110.00 per day, or part thereof, from the date of hire for the project to the date of termination of employment on the project.
- * **Overtime and Double Time shall be calculated on the taxable wage. (If the worker is signatory to Local 1607, calculated on base plus vacation.)
- * *On a two (2) consecutive shift operation, each shift must be scheduled for at least eight (8) hours in a five (5) day workweek or ten (10) hours in a four (4) day, forty (40) hours work week the second shift shall be established for a minimum of three (3) days.
- * *Labor Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Day
- * *When any of these holidays falls on Sunday, then the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday. If the Holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered a holiday.
