What this site collects

Prevailing Wage Hub has no accounts, no ads and nothing to sign up for. Two things record visits:

• Google Analytics 4 counts page views: which pages are read, the referring site, and the browser, device and rough location Google works out.
• Our own visit log, kept at the hosting edge, records each page view: the page, time, referrer, device type, an approximate location from the IP address (city or region, not a street address), how long the page stayed open and which links were clicked.

That's used to see which pages people use and what's broken. It isn't sold, shared with advertisers or used to build profiles of anyone.

If you email corrections@prevailingwagehub.com, we have your address and message, and use them only to reply and fix the page.

The city and ZIP lookup and the tools run in your browser. They download rate files from this site, and what you type into them isn't sent anywhere.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell a returning browser from a new one. The site also keeps a random visitor id in your browser's local storage, so the visit log can count returning visits, plus a few display settings such as the trade and construction type you last picked. None of it carries your name or email. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it.

How long it's kept

Visit-log entries are deleted after about 30 days. Google Analytics keeps its data under its own retention settings. Emails are kept as long as the correction they're about is open.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts the site and runs the visit log. Google runs Analytics. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. No one else gets it.
