Nevada prevailing wage rates
Pick a county to see every trade's rate there, or pick a trade to compare it across the state. All 2,807 rates in force come from the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner (Labor Commissioner): Labor Commissioner 2026-2027 rates (Oct 1, 2026).
The Labor Commissioner issues rates every October 1, with amendments when a union agreement changes. On a bid contract, the rates in effect when bids are opened apply until the contract ends or for 36 months (NRS 338.030(9)). Checked against labor.nv.gov on October 25, 2026. Federally funded work here also uses the Davis-Bacon rates, shown on each rate page; what changed in them.
What is the prevailing wage rate in Nevada?
It depends on the trade. Taking each trade's main rate in each county, Labor Commissioner's figures run from $30.65 an hour (glazier, Washoe County) to $148.00 (commercial diver, Clark County). Labor Commissioner prints one rate that already includes fringe benefits. Pick a county or a trade below for the exact rate.

How Nevada's prevailing wage rules work
- Which projects. Public works financed wholly or partly with public money (NRS 338.010). The wage rules don't apply to a public work estimated under $100,000, and projects can't be split to get under it (NRS 338.080(2)).
- Four wage regions. Nevada sets rates for four regions, not counties: Washoe, Northern Rural (Carson City and 11 counties), Clark, and Southern Rural (Esmeralda, Lincoln, Nye). Every county in a region has the same rates (NRS 338.025).
- One number, fringes included. Each rate "includes the base rate as well as all applicable fringes"; no split is published (NRS 338.010).
- Rates lock at bid opening. The rates in effect when bids are opened apply until the contract is done or for 36 months, whichever is earlier (NRS 338.030(9)). An amendment changes a project only if bids open after it takes effect (NAC 338.050).
- New rates every October 1. The Commissioner surveys in odd years and reissues every October 1, with amendments when a union agreement changes. Washoe and Northern Rural are on Amendment 01, effective October 13, 2026 (2026-2027 rates).
- Overtime. 1½ times the prevailing rate after 40 hours a week or 8 in a day (a 4×10 schedule is the exception); union agreements may govern instead (NRS 338.020).
- No residential schedule. One schedule per region covers every public work. Some crafts are union rates and some are survey (non-union) rates, by region.
- Pay by work actually done. Workers are paid the rate for the work they actually perform, and unclassified work goes to the Labor Commissioner in writing (NAC 338.0095).

Nevada prevailing wage questions
Is Nevada prevailing wage the same as Davis-Bacon?
No. Nevada's own rates cover state and local public works, and Davis-Bacon rates come from the U.S. Department of Labor for federally funded or assisted construction. When a contract requires both the state rate and the Davis-Bacon rate, paying the higher of the two meets both. The contract documents say which apply.
How much does an electrician make on prevailing wage in Nevada?
From $83.81 to $90.92 an hour for the main electrician classification, depending on the county; the median county is $83.81. See every county on one map.
