MDOL's data note: MDOL's printed total is +0.01 from wage + benefit, a 1-cent difference consistent with rounding (MDOL doesn't say). The printed total is the binding package: workers must get at least the wage, and wage + benefits of at least the total (12-170 CMR ch. 13 §IX).
When this rate changes
- A rate in a contract stays unchanged for the life of the contract (26 MRSA §1306), so later sets don't change existing jobs.
- MDOL publishes one set a year. The 2026 set took effect January 10, 2026 after a 30-day notice period; the next comes after the July 2026 survey (MDOL 2026 rates).
