A contractor can pay it all as wages, or pay part as contributions to bona fide benefit plans for the worker, as long as the two add up to at least $78.48. When does this rate change?
- On a bid contract, the rates in effect when bids are opened apply for the contract, or 36 months, whichever is earlier (NRS 338.030(9)–(10)). An amendment applies to projects bid after it takes effect (NAC 338.050).
- The Commissioner issues rates every October 1 for public works bid or awarded October 1 through September 30, and issues amendments when union rates change before then; an amendment takes effect on the date given, or 10 days after issue (NAC 338.040).
